INFORMATICS CONSULTANTS:

Care Informatics Consultant: Nursing Informatics Specialist
The Health Care Informatics Consultants function collaboratively
as a clinician, an educator, a consultant, and a researcher with
the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for patients.
Health Care Informatics Consultants provide clinical expertise
related to advanced technology for Nursing/Clinical Services including
assessment and evaluation, and education related to the implementation
of new technology and procedures. Health Care Informatics Consultants
provide clinical support for new services, nurse training, and
coordination of courses and seminars. Health Care Informatics
Consultants provide administrative support and leadership for
effective and efficient operation of the technology services to
include evaluation, education, and efficiency of procedures and
technology. The Health Care Informatics Consultants are responsible
for planning, development, and implementation of information technology
for Nursing Services. Health Care Informatics Consultants plan,
develop and implements staff development functions to promote
quality nursing care and effect optimal patient outcomes. Health
Care Informatics Consultants develop and coordinate a team of
nursing super-users.

Care Informatics Consultant: Nursing Informatics Consultant
The Health Care Informatics Consultant is responsible for health
care clinical application systems as a consultant, resource, advocate
and liaison to nursing management and staff in areas of computer
applications and computer training. Bachelor's degree in nursing
or other related field desired for Health Care Informatics Consultant
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
or other related area is beneficial. Client /Server application experience is
desired. Knowledge of the concepts in CQI/TQM/Quality Assurance
and project management required. Minimum of four (4) years hospital
experience required.

The Health Care Informatics Consultant is responsible for health
care clinical application systems. The Health Care Informatics
Consultant duties includes analysis, implementation, modification,
training and problem resolution for new and existing clinical
application systems. Serves as a Health Care Informatics Consultant
, resource, advocate and liaison to nursing management and staff
in the areas of computer applications and computer training.
The Health Care Informatics Consultant provides the skills and
tools to support planning, coordination, communication, project
management, implementation, and problem resolution relating
to clinical information systems. The Health Care Informatics
Consultant coordinates between clinical departments, application
and service vendors, and other Information Technology resources
both internal and external. Supports the mission, values, and
goals of the organization. The Health Care Informatics Consultant
performs all duties in a manner, which promotes a healthy team
concept, excellent customer service and best practices. The
Health Care Informatics Consultant escalates critical issues
to the Director, Information Technology. Clients of Information
Technology span multiple specialties including various hospital
departments, physicians, clinics, and other strategic partners.
